Per driving and me taking pics. Per got a bit carried away and drove really fast, making it hard for me to capture the car with my camera... But some came out alright.

Was out driving and taking some pictures with Per and his Cobra

Was at Vålerbanen racetrack today and it was lots of fun! Car was perfect all day. But I need some forced induction to keep up with the high powered cars on the straight...
-
I was at the track today and it was loads of fun. We used some time setting up the car and measuring the temp across the tire. We adjusted the camber and ended up with 3,5 degrees on the left and 1,5 on the right. This gave almost identical temp across the tires. The rear camber was fine stock. This track has most turns to the right therefor the difference. The first thing you should get if you track your car is camber/caster plates, it makes such a big difference. We also raised the car 1,5cm front and back cause the tracks in Norway are not smooth.. The car performed perfect and the brakes was incredible, and it was one of the fastest cars there. A guy with a 600whp skyline I passed wondered what I had done to the engine, it's stock I said... He could almost not belive it. But the grip and brake performance was insane, I could pass cars on the inside outside everywhere, it was fun Some pictures and a video!

Was out driving and stopped to take some pics. Good times Been driving some the last days and I just love the car more and more. It's also fun to see peoples reactions, and all have been positive. Im going to track it at Rudskogen circuit tomorrow, that should be fun!

Changed the rear control arm bushings with powerflex. Got the mirrors mounted.
-
Just missing the mirrors and rear BMW emblem. The car started on the first try;) And I just came back from the first test drive! It was a very strange feeling to finally drive the car after that much work. The car was perfect, felt like new and handled like a dream;) I will try to post some video soon.

Mounting some rubber. Finished under the car.
-
Exhaust polished. Finally windows and trim, door handles, locks and everything else mounted. This was extremely time consuming... Need to adjust the doors, but thats tomorrow. Startup and test drive tomorrow.
-
Foam reinforcement of the rear subframe. BMW says it's only necessary to inject foam into the left mounting point. But I injected into the right as well just to be sure nothing brakes. Interior is getting there.. Doing some service. New oil and filter. The bolts on the turner camber plates was to short with both the BMW strut bar and reinforcement plate. I had to weld on longer bolts.. The longer bolts welded. Turner camber plates with reinforcement plates and longer bolts. Seats in! Im really satisfied with these seats. Looks OEM and race, and they are very comfortable.

Had to make a cut in the new inner roof! It did go well, the knife didn't slip.. M3 speakers mounted. Finally got the trunk from the painter:D Rear suspension reinforcement plate mounted. Mounting the windows. New front safety belts and roof mounted. M foot rest.
-
Wheels on.. It's on the ground..! I also did the BMW foam reinforcement of the subframe, pics of that later.
-
Rear brakes and suspension going on tomorrow and then the car is on it's wheels finally....! Rear dampers getting ready with reinforced upper bush. Rear suspension mounted and modified for stoptech brakes. Rear 4 pot mounted. These were on my dads M3 before he sold it. Front hub and brakes zink sprayed. This will protect the disc from rust, At least for a while.. Will do a test brake then clean the pads for any zink coating. HR spacers and wheel studs mounted. 20mm rear and 12mm front on et45 9.5 track wheels. 20mm front and 12mm rear for OEM 19 M3 wheels.
-
Cleaned the rear hubs and applied a layer og zink paint. This should keep the rust away at least for a while. Im doing this to the front as well. Got the roll bar and front plate mounted. Heat shields on. Putting on a new exhaust tip, gave the old one to my dads car when he dented his. Everything except the plastic shields mounted and connected. Also did a bit of touch up on some of the parts.
-
Here you can see why I had to make the mounting points on each side of the chassis. It was for this support. Marking up where to drill. The driveshaft mounted. Exhaust washed and ready for the car. Heat shield and plastic cover installed. More tomorrow..
-
New bolts for the subframe. Ready for mounting. Almost there.. Installed! There was a thick layer of some sort of rust protection on the rear suspension support, it looked very dirty. It was impossible to wash off so had to grind the part down to the metal.
-
Part installed and painted. I will drill and make threads for the bolt when I get the rear suspension mounted. More parts. Got the M3 fuel tank mounted. Fit was perfect. Bought wheel studs. These turned out to be a little to long on the hub thread, had to cut 20 studs and sand the end... not funny..
-
Changed the airfilter. Painted the Turner plates. The M3 has a reinforcement from each side of the chassis to the diff. I had to make mounting points for this on the sedan. I studied the M3 and welded together a similar part. Also used a couple of nut threads to position the part, it also gives additional strength even thought that probably isn't necessary. Epoxied. The part with epoxy applied.
-
Brakes and suspension done on the right side. Continued on the front. Almost all the parts on the front are mounted. Got all the parts into the trunk again. It's getting close..
-
I clued the Turner reinforcement plates with special epoxy clue(stronger than welding). I will make a DIY on this later together with the foam reinforcement of the subframe. Before.. After. Cleaned the hub before mounting the brakes. Brakes mounted on the left side. Changing the fan and ac belt. This was really easy without the front on. Changing a leaking rubber sealing.
-
Test fitting with wheel. The ET45 wheel does touch the damper and brake caliper, but a 12mm spacer is on the way. I hope a ET33 will clear. At this point I was really satisfied. The big red brakes goes really well with the blue and the CSL wheels, slicks, KW damper and the black wheel arch. It do look sick.. I got the windows today, all the windows in the car will be new. Im delivering them for tinting tomorrow, 50% tint all around.
-
Front damper KW V3 with Turner camber plate. Damper mounted. Front brakes 6 pot 355mm. Test fitting brakes.
-
Im waiting for some parts before I can complete the front. So I have been working on other parts of the car. Washing the rear suspension. And a lot of other parts... More parts.. Two layers of paint did wonders for the trunk.
-
So today was the big day. Something I have been dreaming of for a long time, finally the engine was going to be mounted. We mounted the front suspension to the engine first. On its way.. Finally in!! At this point we celebrated with a couple of beers..:woot: Got all the connectors sorted. This is how far I got today. Its been a great day and things have gone smooth.
-
Then it was the engine. Used balloons to keep water out of connectors and pipes..hehe..it worked really good! So clean.. Ready for the heart transplant.
