Very nice E30 M3 replica project for sale
After lot's of thoughts, I have decided to sell my long term project due to lack of time.
It is based on a E30 323i 1986.
The body has been down to bare metal and is rebuilt with original BMW M3 parts as follows:
rear inner wheelhouse new
rear complete fenders new
front fenders used
rear bumper used
bootlid used
doors, (M3 unique without sidelist) used
C-pillar (metal) used
Non original parts as front bumper EVO-replica and bootlid spoiler.
Following modifications of the body,
full rollcage
various reinforcements
modified rear shockabsorber towers to enable coilovers and E34 rear suspension.
Carbonfiber roof
Bigger wheelhouses in front
Modified firewall to cope with the big gearbox.
New rear section (backside panel)
Chassie:
Rear suspension from E34 modified to fit E30 body
210 diffrential with LSD
Knife-type adjustable antirollbar
Special coilovers from XYZ
Delrin bushings, new bearings etc
Front suspension, custombuilt tubular wishbones with geometry for E36 frontstruts
XYZ coilovers, camberplates
Knife-type adjustable antirollbar
Delrin bushings, new bearings etc
All parts nice finished
Brakes:
Porsche "Big Red", brand new calipers in front, used rear.
New Porsche original pads
Brakediscs 348x30mm front
Brakediscs 320x20mm rear
CNC machined alu adapters
Gearbox:
Getrag s6s 560g, very rare from BMW 850i 6-speed manual.
Engine:
M70 V12 BMW 750i 1990, 5-liter/300Hp, plan was to "boost" it with a supercharger or turbo, 8.8 C/R std.
Other:
Aluminium water cooler
Steering rack with servo
E32 hydraulic brake booster
The car is today in the state of a rolling chassie with engine and gearbox mounted.
Very serious built, for sale complete, no breaking up in parts. I'll leave that to next owner in that case.
I bet there are other ideas out there for suitable engines, but it's no problem to fit something else of course.
The gearbox itself is very rare and BMWs strongest, worth quite some money on its own.
Have spent lot's of money and time on this project and wish that someone who realize that and not just comparing it to "cheepest rolling chassie" is interested in finishing it!
