BMW 1 serie facelift?

BMW’s smallest model, the Series 1, has been on the market since 2004. Now the Bavarian car maker is preparing a first restyling of the Series 1, due for launch at next spring’s Geneva Motor Show.

At the same time the Series 1 will come on the market as an additional three door variant. Finally – in autumn 2007 – BMW will extend the model range even with a coupe, the matching convertible of which is to follow even later in 2008.

Aprops facelift... E90 ble presentert i desember 2004 og dermed er det vel snart tid for en facelift også når det gjelder den modellen. Tiden går fort...

1-serien skulle ikke hatt den bulen på midten. Det ser litt ut som bilen har seget... Men ellers er det en fin bil.

Da ser det ut til at det har lekket ut en video av 1 serie facelift. Planen var vel at denne skulle lanseres sammen med 3 dørs varianten i Geneva i mars...

From what we made of the 1.29 min long video which features the 163Hp 2.0-litre turbodiesel 120d, the Bavarian 5door hatch has received a subtle exterior facelift which includes new front headlamps, revised tail-lamp crystals and a redesigned front bumper with larger air-intake and different fog-lights. We can’t seem to spot any differences in the interior though.

From our information, there’ll be a few changes in the engine department as the current 150 Hp 2.0-litre 4cylinder petrol will be replaced with a new 170Hp 2.0 that debuted on the 320i Cabriolet. We also suspect that the top-notch 130i with the 265 Hp 3.0 straight-six will get the revised 3.0 with an output of 272Hp.
