Electrik problem

Hi I have a problem with my E39 M5. The Hazard lights keep coming on for no apparant reason, while driving or while just standing outsite my house at night. Need to take the + of the Battery to make it stop. Anyone know what could be wrong or where to taki it. I live in Stavanger

If they come on after you have locked your car and parked, they may be coming on because the alarm is going of.

Does your car have an alarm? This will happen if the drivers doorlock module is faulty. It can also happen in more extreme cases if you're driving as well.

Thank you, I am pretty sure that my car has an alarm. It is an original M5 e39 model.

I will check with the dorlook moduel and take it from there.

Got information that it is Lysemodule that needs replacing

What model is your M5?

Just buy a used LCM that fit your car, and get it coded. Im sure there is someone in Stavanger thats registred on this forum and can help you with the coding.

If you buy LCM from ebay.de it will probably be cheaper then buy it in Norway. You can get lucky ofcours and find a cheap one here also..
