Reverse light

Hi. I have a bmw e90 2006 320i automatic.

I have had an issue with my reverse lights not working when i put my car in reverse. I have checked the light bulbs and they look fine.

I have also searched aroumnd to look if i have a reverse light switch. It looks to me that i dont have one

I was wondering of anyone maybe have had the same problem or maybe know how to fix it. Ots very dark out nowdays so its very hard to see where im driving when i  about to park my car.

Hopefully someone know the issue?

You should check the bulbs in other way than just looking at them. Either put 12V on or measure resistance. 

Do you get a bulb warning in the car? Have they ever worked? Is it original bulbs or some cheap aftermarket LED?

There is no fuse, and for automatic transmission there is no switch either.

Signal is from two separate outputs in the ECU so ECU failure it less likely than that the bulbs are gone.

Check that the bulb sockets is OK, and measure ground. If that doesn't help look at the ECU connectors (two forward facing connectors), ECU is in the footwell right in front of the drivers door.

I have aftermarket LED but i check with my old originals lights too and the reverselight didnt work there either. Yes i get bulb warning in my car👍🏻
