En av de mest sjeldne porschene:
911 3.2 Carrera Clubsport
When the 1988 model year 911 was launched in September 1987, Porsche also introduced a lightweight high performance version aimed at the firm’s hardcore customers. No doubt inspired by the legendary 2.7 RS of 1972, this new Coupe-only hot rod was the first to adopt Porsche’s now revered Club Sport designation, A Sport optioned 911 was the starting point, this options package featuring front and rear spoilers, Bilstein shocks and 16-inch diameter wheels. Although there was officially no difference between the Club Sport Flat-6 and any other 3.2-litre 911 engine, re-mapped Motronic engine management allowed the engine to rev to 6850rpm (up from 6520) and there were also hollow intake valves.
A conservative estimate was that these cars were pumping out 245bhp although Porsche always played down any horsepower gains to avoid the bureaucracy involved in homologating a new variant. To save weight, Porsche junked many of the luxuries fitted as standard to the normal 911. Gone were the electric windows, the sunroof, rear wiper, central locking, radio, rear seats and air conditioning. The sound insulation, passenger sun visor and even the lockable oddments bin were also discarded. No PVC underseal was applied and this meant the anti-corrosion warranty was reduced from ten years to just two. Simplified door trim was installed along with a new rev counter, a short-shift gear lever and a carpeted rear shelf where the rear seats used to be. With only 960 kiloes to lug around, 0-100 Was executed in a mere 5.5 seconds and the top speed was nudging 260 km/t before flattening out.
Prisene er stive og du må nok ut med rundt 400.000 pluss avgifter for et pent eksemplar.
