Remove:
-Engine covers
-MAF
-inlet pipe
-Airbox cover
-Air Con Compressor
-Alloy air con compressor mount/belt tensioner
-Exhaust downpipe/cat (just makes things a little easier)
Note:
with the airbox cover and air filter removed you should so 3 round gromits in the bottom of the air filter housing/rocker cover,
remove the 3 gromits and gentle push the alloy cover beneath where the gromits were downwards untill it can be removed,
you will now see the 3 12mm multi hex bolts that secure turbo to manifold which will need to be removed after oil feed pipes(which i removed from the engine block rather then the turbo itself)
Once i had the old unit on the bench i then changed both oil feed pipes over to the new unit,
i struggled getting the turbo back into place but found it was easier if i removed the outer downpipe stud from the turbo,
i completed removing and refitting the turbo in 1hr 30mins and all i have to do tomorrow is continue cleaning all oil from turbo pipes, intercooler and E.G.R valve, change engine breather on top of airfilter housing/rockercover (main cause of turbo failure on this engine) and obviously new engine oil and filter and then its good to go.
