Somrend Skrevet Desember 17, 2023 Share Skrevet Desember 17, 2023 (endret) My car suddenly stopped and would no longer start. I used it an hour before it stopped working. Last year, I faced a similar problem and went to Sulland and had it checked by the company. Then they told me that there was a problem with the CAS control access panel and asked me to reserve a new part and then program it so that the car would start. I have a friend who is involved in these matters, so he told me to replace the battery and the car will start. In fact, he replaced the battery and I was able to start the car and drive it normally without any problems. Although a BMW employee told me that it is impossible for the car to start without changing the control access panel. But these words were not true because I was only able to start the car when I replaced the battery. But this time I tried to do the same thing, but to no avail. I heard the engine sound as if it was going to start, but it didn't. I ask experienced people and they tell me different things. Some of them tell me that I have a problem with the engine nozzles, some of them tell me that I have a problem with the relay responsible for the fuel pump, and some of them tell me that I have a problem with the fuel pump itself. I am not sure what the problem is. Shortly before the car stopped, I felt that the car’s engine had a noticeable jerk when I stopped at a traffic light. I do not know if these symptoms were related to the problem of the car stopping. I do not want to buy an access control panel device before confirming the problem. I do not trust the BMW agent because he told me that I have to pay the working hours fee + the price of the piece + taxes, about 20,000 kroner, and after that he is not sure that the car will start, and this makes me feel that he just wants me to pay the money without guaranteed work from the company. I bought a new battery and tried to start the car , but it’s still same (crank but won’t start) I have changed the air filter and diesel filter but that didn't help. Therefore, ask the experienced people in this forum. Perhaps someone has faced the same problem and knows the solution or what the problem is. Thank you for any help from you. Haug530D Skrevet Desember 18, 2023 Share Skrevet Desember 18, 2023 Did you code/program the new battery with diagnosis? Cause if you don't you might get trouble after a while. Also the best thing will be to start with diagnosis to check for what could be the problem. Somrend reagerte på dette 1 Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

I fitted a new batteri last time without coding it, and it worked. I did not know that I have to code batteries on my car, since it is old. could it be that that caused the problem now Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

Otis Skrevet Desember 18, 2023 Share Skrevet Desember 18, 2023 You need to get error codes read from the car. There are probably some codes that will give a clie about this condition. This is not a battery problem. But it is semi-important to get the battery coded, after a exchange. Somrend reagerte på dette 1 Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
