Hipis Skrevet September 14 Share Skrevet September 14 Hello all! Sorry that I write it in English, still learning Norwegian but days have too few hours to accomplish mastering Norsk. I hope that no one gets offended. I wish to ask you for help. Long story short, I had to replace tms in right headlight because of water damage 🙄 There was a "headlight vertical aim control failure" I coded something with bimmercode/e-sys/ista+ and failure is gone. Unlucky me, I found out that right blinker is living its own life (even after ista+ led syncro or whatever that was). I mean after I turn on blinker it's not synchronized with the other ones, it blinks faster. The next thing I found out when it gets darker. Vertical aim is doing really weird things on both sides. It randomly going up blinding people or going all the way down. I mean its not changing aim all the time but without logic. Of course I set up headlights properly and even after that show begins. I have 2013 F11. Regular xenon, without corner adapt lights. Is someone have clue what I should do? I just hope that I dont have to buy genuine tms, then Im gonna just wreck the car in the tree Have a great weekend guys! Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

Did this «something» just removed the error by disabling the error or disabling functionality but not fixed the root cause? In other Words What was this «something» Some other thoughts: can’t you find a used TMS on finndel.no? Level sensors OK? Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
Hipis Skrevet September 15 Forfatter Share Skrevet September 15 Thank you for your answer! The error in idrive was "headlight vertical aim control failure". Then I changed in the bimmercode "check tms id" to not active. I was hoping that it fixed issue but it just erased the idrive fault. After enet cable arrived I used ista to initialize new tms but it didnt help. So I digged in esys to "Detect CAF for SWE" for FRP module and after that initialize in ista again. Didnt help. Today I changed in bimmercode LWR type from dynam to autom and by now according to what I see in the wall it helps because after short drive it doesnt change vertical aim after I set it up properly. Unfortunately ista keeps saying that there is 800fc1 and 800fc6 fault code.  After I bought "new one" by now I will try to figure it out on this one. Buying next one is last resort.  Level sensors? How to check it? Where are they? Yesterday night before I made the lwr change I noticed that hard acceleration (like 2.0 diesel 😅) makes headlights going waaay up while hard breaking dont make opposite thing that quick. mr.pingu Skrevet September 15 Share Skrevet September 15 Detect CAF by SWE does not do anything by istelf,  but sometimes you have to inject a CAFD. To reset you have to VO-code. So right click code or click the code button. Level sensor is one of the lower Control arms (left or right) and at the rear aswell. Should also be a way to read out these sensor values in ISTA. There some tips/steps to resolve your mentioned issues listed on: https://bmwfault.codes. Did you try them? On some cars you can also swap TMS from sides, this way you can determinere if TMS on one side is at fault. Because then the error should move to left Headlight.   Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
Hipis Skrevet September 15 Forfatter Share Skrevet September 15 I have done the code in esys after this detect caf for swe. If this level sensors are the same as with suspension, then it is working. I also read the values from the trigger menu in ista.  About those tips in the link you provided. Those are the same as in ista.  I come to the conclusion that no matter what I do I will have to buy the original TMS.  Or when it gets darker today I will check how it is going. Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
sondre Skrevet Oktober 3 Share Skrevet Oktober 3 Not sure it's at all relevant, but the problem when I got this error was the rear left height sensor. mr.pingu reagerte på dette 1 Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

I have 2013 F11. Regular xenon, without corner adapt lights. I had the same issue with the TMS headlight vertical aim control failure. After a lot of trial and error, it turned out to be a faulty sensor. It’s worth checking the wiring and connections before replacing anything major, though. On a different note, while dealing with that, I came across something useful for students—an article about the hardest ee subjects IB Extended Essay subjects, which might help if you’re juggling studies alongside car maintenance. Anyway, hope you get the headlight problem sorted soon! Is someone have clue what I should do? I just hope that I dont have to buy genuine tms, then Im gonna just wreck the car in the tree Have a great weekend guys! If the blinker is flashing faster than the others, it could be a sign of a faulty LED module or an issue with the coding. Since you’ve already tried ista+ sync, you might want to double-check the coding with Bimmercode or e-sys to ensure the right parameters are set. Sometimes the vehicle’s body control module (BCM) can also be at fault here. Endret Oktober 14 av Sandy2314 Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
